Youth baseball fundraiser

A fundraiser for the Brighton Bears youth baseball team is set for 5:30 p.m., April 16, at the Brighton Elks Lodge, 101 N. Main St.

    Some of the silent-auction items include a signed bat from Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki; the opportunity to bid on a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Rockies home game; a Rockies blanket and hat; golf outings at Coyote Creek and Buffalo Run golf courses; a basketball signed by the entire Denver Nuggets 2009-10 team; a Jeep Wrangler bicycle and a membership to Total Body Solutions. The silent auction ends at 8:30 p.m. A baseball, signed by Rockies outfielder Brad Hawpe, will also be given away.

    The spaghetti dinner and silent auction costs $10 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
