Volleyball: Three Brighton area teams advance to regional round

AURORA -- The Colorado High School Activities Assocation released the regional volleyball pairings for class 3A teams Oct. 31.
Eagle Ridge Academy drew the 35th seed and travels to Eaton High School for tournament play. Pagosa Springs is the other squad in the field. Play begins at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.
CHSAA also released the 4A bracket. Riverdale Ridge qualified for the regionals. The Ravens (34th seed overall) and Glenwood Springs will play at Windsor High School. Play begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
In the class 5A bracket, Brighton drew the 24th seed and joins Arapahoe High School for a regional tourney at top-seeded Valor Christian High School. Play begins at noon Saturday, Nov. 5.
Two wins guarantees a team a chance to play for the state 3A title at the Denver Coliseum starting Thursday, Nov. 10.
