COMMERCE CITY – The Colorado State Patrol is looking into how a car wound up in the Platte River Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 9:30 near East 120th Avenue and Brighton Road. Commerce City Police Officer Chris Dickey said there was a rescue involving a vehicle but that the car was empty and that rescue crews did not mention anything about a driver.
