Thelma Leota Thornberg, 88, of Bennett, died Aug. 6, 2010, in Aurora.
She was born May 30, 1922, to Lloyd and Doris Downing on the family farm in Wray.
Survivors include daughter, Neva (Darrel); son, Wade (Amy); four grandchildren; sister, Iris Carson; and brother, Gary Downing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Thornberg, in 1967; one granddaughter; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Celebration of life service is 2 p.m., Aug. 14, at the Bennett High School Auditorium, 615 7th Street, Bennett. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
