Spaghetti lunch raises more than $1,900

Posted

Editor,

The  Brighton Senior Center held its 23rd annual spaghetti luncheon Jan. 30.

The funds raised from the event benefit the Brighton senior athletes who participate in the Rocky Mountain Senior Games in June. We raised more than $1,900 and served more than 300 meals. We are thrilled.

Our success is due to the generosity of those in our community whether it be the volunteers (56 in all), the business community and all those who came to eat the delicious meal.  Special thanks to Serafini’s Pizzeria, Platte Valley Medical Center, Village Inn, Inglenook, Billie’s Café, Sakata Farms, Sterling House,  Black Forrest Bakery, Lauer Krauts, Brighton Depot, Applebee’s, Subway, Chili’s, Mojo’s, Tabor Funeral Home, Local Color, Brighton Standard Blade and Brighton Buzz for the generous donations.
