BROOMFIELD — Some 400 Brighton High School students received their diplomas at commencement exercises May 25 at 1stBank Center in Broomfield.
There was some advice as the graduates begin the next phase of their lives, too, including "be proud of your scars" from class valedictorian Mariah Niday, and from class speaker and BHS English teacher Ted Halbert, who told the grads, "We educate ourselves to be good humans. You understand the social contract, that how we treat each other matters."
More than 80 members of the Class of 2022 achieved grade point averages of at least 3.8.
