FAYETEVILLE, N.C. ee" Dawn Sanderson, of Brighton, was one of four scholar athletes of the Year at Methodist University.

Sanderson, a junior, competed for both the basketball and lacrosse teams while balancing a perfect grade point average. Sanderson, who is majoring in match, played in every basketball game and started in 26.

She scored 221 points and a career high 164 rebounds on the court and was named CoSIDA Academic All-District aecond ream.

During the spring, Sanderson started in 12 lacrosse games while leading the team in ground balls and caused turnovers.

Her efforts earned her second team all-conference honors.
