The 2023 Riverdale Ridge girls soccer team may be the most talented squad the school has ever had – and they showed it last week. The Ravens had five different players score a goal as they rolled to an 8-1 victory over Longs Peak rival Frederick Golden Eagles. “This is by far the most selfless and cohesive group of girls we have had,” coach Danelle Dondelinger said. A selfless attitude has helped Riverdale jump out to a 6-3 record overall and outscore their opponents 35-13 on the season. The three losses for Riverdale included a double-overtime drop to Class 5A Brighton and to Erie (4-2) and Northridge (3-2) – two teams that are among the best in the state in Class 4A.
