Raymond L. Delcamp

U.S. veteran Raymond L. Delcamp, 77, of Brighton, passed away Sept. 3, 2010.     
    Ray was born July 29, 1933, in New Castle, Wyo., to John and Mary (Byrtus) Delcamp. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
    His parents moved to Dalton, Neb., where Ray met Berna “Bernie” Dee Rathman and they married Aug. 12,1956. They were married for 54 years. Ray spent many years building custom homes.  He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed many summers and the family at family reunions at Blue Mesa.
    Raymond is survived by his wife, of Brighton; children, Mike (Freedom) Delcamp, of
Montgomery, Texas, Jeff (Carol) Delcamp, of Brighton, and Wendy (Dave) Powers, of Hudson; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by one sister; and one brother.
    Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sept. 8, at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
