Mary Ann Ells, 69, of Brighton, passed away April 14, 2010.
She was born in Denver and graduated from Champion Academy in Loveland in 1958. She married Ben Ells Feb. 22, 1959, in Brighton. Mary helped operate the family dairy farm northeast of Brighton and worked in Beierele Bakery in Denver. She was a lifetime member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brighton. She loved to host large family gatherings at the farm and enjoyed making her home open for all. She was always full of laughter and fun. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, sewing for her family, shopping and even collected Longaberger baskets and cookbooks.
Mary is survived by her husband, of Brighton; sons, Ron (Jennifer) Ells and Kevin (Leah) Ells, of Brighton; daughter, Cheri (Jamie Watson) Ells, of Brighton; brothers, Lawrence Beierele, of Denver, Albert Beierele, of California, Jack Beierele, of Denver; sisters, Eva Koehler and Millie Snyder, of Colorado Springs, Darlene Newell, of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was April 19 at the Brighton Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
