Letter: You can't please everyone

Editor,

Your comments in the past have been critical of the new Anythink Library. My personal opinion is that you can’t please everyone. When you create a new, modern day facility, you will always have those who wish it had been done differently.

When I have visited the library, I have found many dads, mom and children entering together. The children are brought to the library and taught the important of reading. They are also exposed regularly to special programs geared to their age level.

I’m impressed with (library director) Todd Cordrey’s availability and access to visitors. He addressed the need for a flag within the library. You should include a small story in your newspaper about the history and significance of the flag. (Todd) is a welcome addition to the new library and will see that community needs are met.

You expressed concern that not all books are immediately available at the library but acknowledge that they are obtainable from other branches. They are received on a timely basis and meet the needs of most visitors. Give it time. We will all come to appreciate the library.
