Laptop stolen in library

Posted

A 36-year-old man told police his laptop was stolen Sept. 27 from the Anythink Brighton Library, 327 E. Bridge St.
The man told police he was working in the library computer lab about 6 p.m. and left his computer to tell a librarian the Internet was not working. He returned to the lab, put his computer in its carrying cases. He left it there while he briefly used another computer. When he returned, it was gone.
The man didn’t see who took the item. Police asked the man, who said the computer belonged to his employer, to get the serial and model numbers so it could be logged in as stolen.
