Josie Bueno, 75, of Brighton, passed away Sept. 4, 2010.
She was born June 12, 1935, in Mora, N.M., to John J. and Aurora (Quintana) Tenorio. She lived the majority of her life in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School in 1954. She later married Toby Bueno July 19, 1958, in Brighton. Josie worked as a paraprofessional for Brighton School District 27J for 20 years before her retirement.
She loved to play Bunco and enjoyed traveling with her friends from the Brighton Senior Center. She loved her flower garden and being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Josie is preceded in death by her husband in February 2001.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne B. Thomas, of Brighton, Annette P. Bueno-Thompson, of Littleton, and Angela B. Bueno, of Denver; three brothers; five sisters; grandchildren; Simms, Kelsey, Amanda, Kristen, Mikayla, Kyra; and two great-grandchildren, Elio and Nyla.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m., Sept. 8, 2010 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Sept. 9, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, followed by the interment at 2 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
