John P. Mayer, 88, of Littleton and formerly of Brighton, died Feb. 16, 2010, at Aurora Care Center.
John was born April 19, 1921, to Emile R. and Marguerite “Peg” Mayer in Denver. He married Ellen “Bunny” Horner, of Tacoma, Wash., in 1946. John was a lifelong employee of his great-grandfather Max Kuner’s company, Kuner-Empson Co., of Brighton. He moved to Littleton when he retired.
Survivors include his daughters, Peggy Grant, of Littleton, Mary (Chris) Dyer, of East Falmouth, Mass. and Melissa Haskins, of Littleton; sons, Eric, Jeff (Colleen), and Karl, of Littleton; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife and his parents.
Catholic Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 25 at Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Littleton.
