Cimmaron Gerke, of Brighton, married Amanda Prochazka, formerly of Alden, Minn., Oct. 17, 2009.

The double-ring ceremony took place outdoors in the scenic foothills of the Mc C Ranch in Masonville, Colo., and provided the backdrop for an authentic Old-West-style wedding.

Cimmaron and his two groomsmen, Jesse Crowder, of Stephenville, Texas, and Cleve Schmidt, of Belle Fourche, S.D., galloped up on horseback with their guns blazing. The bride was escorted by her father, Dave Prochazka, with shotgun in hand. Amanda’s two bridesmaids were her sister, Nicole Prochazka, and sister of the groom, Candace Lostroh. The entire wedding party dressed in attire reflective of the Old West-era as did their many guests.

The ceremony was followed by a western barbecue, a performance by a country band and a mechanical bucking bull to ride.
