Joseph and Katie Heinz, of Thornton, welcome a son, Garrett Riley Heinz.
Garrett was born at 5:48 a.m., Aug. 5, 2010, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 20 inches.

Grandparents are Tim Gritton and Tracey Hockett, of Brighton, and Al and Karen Heinz, of Keenesburg. Great-grandparents are Otto and Bonnie Duffey, of Brighton, and Phyllis Allen, of Julesburg.
Garrett is welcome by brothers, Conner, 10, Ethan, 4, and Zachary, 3.
