The City of Northglenn’s new Recreation Center officially opens to the public on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The new facility -- located west of Northglenn City Hall, 11701 Community Center Dr. across from Webster Lake -- was constructed in just under two years at a cost of $54 millon.

The 87,887 square foot facility features a theater, gymnasium, weight and cardio areas, running track, six-lane swimming pool, warm-water leisure pool with lazy river, and various rooms for seniors and children, among other amenities.

The official opening follows a VIP party on Oct. 6.
