Cleona (Toni) Williams, 87, of Lakewood, passed away Nov. 21, 2010, in Lakewood.
She was born June 14, 1923, in Bethune, Colo., to David and Edith (Olson) Hernbloom. She attended school in Stratton and graduated from high school in 1940. Toni married Edgar Story in 1953 in Portland, Ore. She later married Robert C. Williams Oct. 27, 1961, in Idaho Springs.
Toni worked as a switchboard operator for Mountain Bell and was a personnel clerk for Fort Logan Mental Health Center. She retired from Lookout Mountain School for Boys in 1981.
She lived the majority of her life in the Arvada and Federal Heights areas. Toni was born in the height of the Great Depression and learned to make the most of life. She loved to cook, sew, play the organ and she loved the Lord. She had a great sense of humor and genuinely loved people. Toni was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.
Toni is survived by her children, Denny (Sandy) Williams, of Brighton, De’Ann (Gordon) Bacon, of Brighton, and Jim (Darla) Storey, of Lakewood; twin sister, Clarice Knolls, of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by on son, Jeff, in 1973; and one grandson, Bobby Williams, in 1977.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m., Nov. 26, followed by the funeral at 10 a.m., at Arvada Church of God, 7135 W. 69th Ave., Arvada. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home is handling the
arrangements.
