Brighton Florist, a longtime Brighton business, has new owners.
Owners Jim and Fran Kiyota sold the business, 1135 E. Bridge St., after 50 years of service. But they found a way to keep the business locally-owned.
Brighton Florist has been purchased by Keene Floral Inc., a company owned by third-generation Brighton residents Dean and Kathy Chambers and their daughter Stacie Powers. Kathy and Stacie currently operate Keene Floral, another Keene Floral Inc. entity, in Keenesburg.
“Mom and I love to create new arrangements and to find ways to incorporate unique ways of expressing the sender’s message in the flowers, whether it is a trinket perfectly placed, providing a company logo designed into the flowers, or placing wheat from a family farm into a bridal bouquet. Our passion is to provide the extraordinary,” Stacie said.
“We are excited to be able to continue to offer Brighton and Keenesburg full service retail flower shops,” Kathy added. “We are working directly with Jim and Fran and will continue to employ their staff. We believe these measures will allow us to continue to provide quality service to Brighton Florist’s current customers and, with two locations, we can expand our delivery area.”
Brighton Florist will remain at its Bridge Street location and will have the same phone number (303-659-2415) and business hours. Customers will be able to order in person, over the phone or online at BrightonFloristCo.com. Keene Floral will also remain open at its 70 S. Main St., location in Keenesburg. Customers will also be able to place orders in person, over the phone or online at KeeneFloral.com.
Brighton Florist will have an open house from 2 to 5 p.m., Dec. 11, where they will wish Jim and Fran the best.
