Former Prairie View High School volleyball player Jocelyn Garcia is an assistant coach at Butler University. She spent the last three seasons at the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
“Jocelyn is one of the rising coaches in our profession,” said BU coach Sharon Clark in a statement. “Her collegiate head coaching experience is exactly what I was looking for in my next assistant. She has done every aspect of coaching and understands what it takes to be a great assistant. Jocelyn is a relentless recruiter, and I cannot wait to see the talent she will find for our program.”
Garcia played Libero/defensive specialist for four seasons as a student-athlete at Concordia University in Nebraska and totaled 1,594 career digs. She will oversee ball control strategy and coaching for the Bulldogs, the statement said.
