Brighton Deputy City Manager Marv Falconburg is this year’s recipient of the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year.
An email from the chamber said the award goes to “an individual who makes significant contributions to the greater Brighton community through their direct involvement in projects or events, outside of the duties connected with his or her employment, which have resulted in substantial community benefit. Activities may include cultural, ecological, religious, health, nonprofit, or other efforts.”
Falconburg was interim city manager after the dismissal of former City Manager Philip Rodriguez. The city hired Jane Bais DiSessa as the new city boss in July.
