Prairie View broke a 64-all tie in the last minute of its game against Hinkley and won the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference contest 71-64 Feb. 10 in Brighton.

Tyson Roberts hit the eventual game-winning with 1:15 to play. Dominic Marrujo stole the ball and passed to Rashawn Salinas-Johnston for a layup to make it 69-64 with a minute to play. Two free throws from Xavier Torres ended the scoring.

Roberts finished with 31 points. Salinas-Johnston and Torres added 11. Taveon Long had 25 points for the Thunderbirds.
